Apples and Cin-a-Man are superheroes and members of D.O.P.E. They are a parody (or possibly copy) of characters from Apple Cinnamon Cheerios cereal ads.
Initial Era[]
Apples and Cin-a-Man
In the Initial Era, Apples and Cin-a-Man first appeared in D.O.P.E. Volume 1, Number 2 as a cameo. They were in the background, in line waiting to sign up for D.O.P.E.
In Issue #6, they are given the task of finding and apprehending the culprit who is stealing the sprinkles from Generally Mills' Cinnamon Apple Cheerihos cereal. Apples is pretty dimwitted as he thinks the wall is talking when Leper calls on the intercom. They drive their bowl-car to the woods and find a helpless box of the cereal, and the Evil Sorcerer floating towards it. Just as his shoots his magic ray at the cereal, Cin-a-Man deflects it with his magnificent leaf of magic repulsion, which bounces around and hits the Sorcerer turning him into a carrot. The duo then plug their saved cereal.
Cin-a-Man is official D.O.P.E. member #8 and Apples is member #9.
In issue #12, they are shown at the head table during a full D.O.P.E. assembly, as leaders of the Cereal Brigade.
